» Ukrainian Independence Day, European Day (in Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv), City Days (in Kiev and Lviv), 14th of July, Christmas, and company support for all major local events. The theme of this year’s "City Day" was "Lviv Forever", which seemed to be a fitting sentiment for the region's 2.8 million people and the enduring bond that Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine has formed with them. The picturesque city of Lviv, founded in 1256 and listed by UNESCO as a World Monument of Architecture, was the site of Ukraine's first Coca-Cola bottling plant, and although production has now moved to the capital, Kiev, a special bond continues to exist with the people in the Company's original "home". » Providing support for local hospitals and orphanages, including purchasing diagnostic equipment for the Children Central Hospital and providing water for Kiev hospitals. » Supporting, together with the United Nations, the Race for Life, a sporting event that has increased awareness of the fight against AIDS. » Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine Plant Tours for almost 25,000 Ukrainian students each year. » Financial and social support for the Ukrainian National Olympic Committee, for the Kiev Basketball Club, and for the local football club- Borisfen.
